Who is Anuel AA?
Anuel AA is Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, born on November 26, 1992, in Carolina, Puerto Rico. The AA is pronounced Doble A, Spanish for "double A", and you'll find that scratched double-A mark all over our shop. His music moves between Latin trap, reggaeton, Latin hip hop and R&B.
Why do fans call him El Dios del Trap?
El Dios del Trap means "the God of Trap". It's one of his nicknames, next to La 2blea and El Rey del Trap, "the King of Trap". You'll spot it on our designs too: inside the gold cup of the Las Leyendas Nunca Mueren Trophy, and on the board held up on the back of Free Anuel.
What was #FreeAnuel?
From 2016 to 2018, Anuel AA was in prison. Fans kept his name loud with the #FreeAnuel movement while he kept releasing tracks from inside. He walked out on July 17, 2018, the same day his debut album, Real Hasta la Muerte, came out.
